Copos Bio Brasilcustom cups and plastic housewares

Before it becomes a cup, your artwork is a curved strip lying flat on the table.

Copos Bio Brasil makes plastic pieces for personal and household use in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and prints on them whatever the person ordering wants seen: the name of a party, the logo of a shop, a drawing a family made.

We laid this page out the way the job itself begins, with the flattened template. Each stretch of it explains one part of the company's work.

Three lines that decide whether the artwork fits

Trim line

It traces the true outline of the surface being covered. Anything placed beyond it will not show on the finished cup.

Up top, it is the solid blue stroke.

Bleed

Extra margin drawn past the trim, so solid backgrounds never end in a thin white sliver once the piece is assembled.

Shown as the pink dashes.

Safe area

The zone where names, dates and logos stay clear of the seam and the rims. Anything that must be read belongs inside it.

That is the lime dotted line.

What leaves our production floor

The main line of business on the company's tax registration is making plastic goods meant for the home and for each person's own use. In practice, that covers the cups behind the company name and other plastic pieces from the same household world.

The registration also allows plastic goods made for other purposes, so orders that wander away from the kitchen and the table can be taken on, as far as production allows.

The company name includes the word "Bio", yet this page says nothing about what the materials are made of, how they break down or whether they can be recycled. Questions about the material of a given item are answered by email, one piece at a time.

Your artwork, carried onto the piece

To us, customizing means moving onto the curved face of a cup exactly what the client hopes to see there. That is why the template sits at the top of this page: art drawn for a rectangular sheet tends to warp once it hugs a cone.

When your file arrives, it is checked against the template of the piece you picked. If something important sits too near an edge, or a line of text is tiny for the space, we say so before moving on, so the last word stays yours.

  • names, dates and short phrases for parties and gatherings;
  • logos of shops, companies and groups;
  • original drawings, sent as a file.

Wholesale packaging and household goods

Besides manufacturing, Copos Bio Brasil is registered for wholesale trade in packaging and in other goods for personal and household use. This side of the business serves resellers and anyone who needs volume for a business of their own.

A retail registration for other products covers smaller sales when they make sense. Terms for each order are agreed directly; no price list is published here.

Sending your artwork and asking for a quote

Write and tell us which piece you have in mind, whether a finished design already exists and what occasion it is for. High resolution files help; if all you have is a rough sketch, send it anyway and mention that in the message.

The reply goes to the address you wrote from. Prices and quantities depend on the piece and on the art, so they show up only in that exchange, never on this page.

From the file we receive to the piece we check

With no date or quantity promised, this is the route a custom order tends to follow here:

  1. Reading your note. Someone at the company reads what you sent and confirms that the piece you want is one we make or resell.
  2. Fitting the template. The art is placed on that piece's template, keeping to the bleed and safe area drawn at the top of this page.
  3. Back to you. A preview reaches your inbox and you approve it, ask to change color, size or wording, or switch to another piece.
  4. A written proposal. Once the art is settled, the prices and conditions for that particular order arrive by email.
  5. Making and matching. Only after your go-ahead does the piece go into production, and the result is compared with the preview you approved.

Questions that tend to arrive along with the artwork

Do I need a professional file?
It helps, but it is not a requirement. A drawing photographed in good light is enough to open the conversation.
Do you design the art from scratch?
This page does not offer brand identity design. The work starts from what the client sends, adjusted to sit well on the template.
Can I see the piece beforehand?
The digital preview on the template is what we show before production. Any other kind of sample is arranged within the order itself.
Do you serve places outside Belo Horizonte?
Ask by email and include your city; the answer depends on the piece and on how it would travel.
What does "Bio" in the name stand for?
It is part of the registered company name. Details about the material of each item are given in writing, piece by piece.
